Biospecimen Request

Enrolled MOST participants had a fasting blood draw and urine collection at baseline. Approximately half of the cohort had blood and urine collected at the 30-month follow-up, and approximately 70% of the original cohort had blood and urine collected at the 60-month follow-up. Biospecimens are stored at a commercial repository. No Protected Health Identifiers (PHI) are attached to the specimens in storage.

The use of MOST biospecimens for research is subject to approval of an ancillary study proposal by the MOST Executive Committee and availability of the requested specimens. Investigators must have the approval of their local IRB and funding for the shipment and handling of specimens.

To request biospecimens, submit an Ancillary Study Proposal and Biological Specimen Request Form to MOSTCoordinatingCenter@psg.ucsf.edu.
